Episode #603: Interview with Jared Prestwidge – August 27, 2023

Episode 603 features the return of Jared Prestwidge!

The last time I spoke with Jared was when he had completed his very first comic, For the Love of the Game! Now he’s releasing Howie the Hellhound, and this mini-series is coming from Scout Comics! Here’s the description: “Satan’s favorite pet, a Hellhound named Howie, escapes the pits of Hell and settles down with a human owner, Louise, in New York City. But when Hell’s forces rise to take back what’s theirs, the pair must find a way to come out on the other side and earn a fresh start at life that they both crave.” I highly recommend this very “human” supernatural adventure, so be sure to let your local comics shop know you want it before the Final Order Cutoff deadline of Monday, September 4, 2023!

It’s the story of every fan and every pro and everyone who’s just trying to make a buck in the midst of extremity. Through the narratives of our large cast of characters we see, in miniature, the story of the last few decades of modern comics: how some things have changed and how some things have stayed exactly the damn same.” We talk about Paul’s con experiences as well as what inspired this comic, so be sure not to miss this great discussion!
