Now an all-new documentary, Oddly Compelling, highlights Kitchen’s thirty years as one of the most important independent comic book publishers, and his work as a fierce advocate for the First Amendment.

Denis founded Kitchen Sink Press in 1969, and for more than 30 years, he published many of the most prominent and innovative creators in comics. Now, filmmaker Soren Christiansen and Ted Intorcio have captured hours of in-depth, candid interviews with Denis and many of his fellow cartoonists and colleagues. Jeremy Adams, one of the most prolific scribes in the entertainment industry today with credits as the acclaimed writer of films, television series, and comics, has signed a multi-year contract to pen comics for DC, home of iconic characters such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and others. We talk about his current projects, including Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, and Aquaman, all of which I am greatly enjoying! We also discuss several excellent series he has worked on in his career, then explore what this new contract means for Jeremy and us fans as he moves into the future!

Lisa Burdige and John Hazard are partners in love and art. They co-create the popular diary comic, Background Noise, which has almost 25K followers on Instagram. They have a Kickstarter underway for their collection of comics called Love Letters, Every Day. Matthew is the writer of many tremendous comics, including 4 Kids Walk into a Bank, We Can Never Go Home, Kingpin, Phoenix Resurrection, DC Vs. Vampires, and stories featuring the Joker. His newest mini-series, We’re Taking Everyone Down With Us, is debuting from Image Comics on Wednesday, March 26. It’s described this way: “The six-issue mini-series follows an orphaned girl named Analise and her dad’s bodyguard robot.” We discuss how this book came to be, who the various characters are, and what we can expect from Matthew in the months ahead!
