It’s another great doubleheader this week in Episode #682! It all begins with writer Matthew Rosenberg from We’re Taking Everyone Down With Us, then everything concludes with the return of Garrett Gunn with Warcorns: Fistful of Rainbows!

Matthew is the writer of many tremendous comics, including 4 Kids Walk into a Bank, We Can Never Go Home, Kingpin, Phoenix Resurrection, DC Vs. Vampires, and stories featuring the Joker. His newest mini-series, We’re Taking Everyone Down With Us, is debuting from Image Comics on Wednesday, March 26. It’s described this way: “The six-issue mini-series follows an orphaned girl named Analise and her dad’s bodyguard robot.” We discuss how this book came to be, who the various characters are, and what we can expect from Matthew in the months ahead! Tom and I talk about the animated series that started it all as well as take a deep dive into the various characters and what made this show a favorite of fans even decades later! For my last interview of 2024, I’m talking with excellent comics creator Reilly Brown, who has a Zoop.gg project underway to fund his comic, Thunder Guardian, which he makes with his young son, Will Brown!

Reilly and I discuss how this series came to be, and how, for the first time ever, Thunder Guardian is now available as a full, 22-page comic via Zoop.gg! The series is described this way: “The Earth has been destroyed. Civilization has been scattered throughout the solar system.
