Episode 436: Interview with Matt Schorr – May 31, 2020

This week in Episode 436, you’ll hear my fun conversation with creator Matt Schorr from Moby Dick: Back from the Deep! This gripping webcomic is headed to print, and you can support it (now including the third issue) on Kickstarter at this link! Here’s the book’s description: “In 1851, Herman Melville published an account of a white whale that rampaged through the high seas. The beast, known as Moby Dick, destroyed numerous boats and cost many sailors their lives. The end of Melville’s account saw Moby Dick disappearing into the ocean. Today, the whale is back! Moby Dick: Back from the Deep tells the story of the legendary white whale reappearing in modern times and wreaking havoc on the waterways near an unsuspecting beachfront community.” We discuss how the series came to be, who the characters are, and what Matt and the rest of his creative team (including artist Joe Bilicic from Brave New Garage Studio) have in store for us as this story concludes in issue #5. They’ve already reached their goal, and now great stretch goals are available, so be sure to back this project after you listen to this interview!
